hi,
are they on mtronks esc, if so they are bullet connectors i normally cut them of and use spade ones as you said
-
hi there
We used to know these as a 'bullet' connector - male and female - the one you show on the photo is the female. Several companies such as MTroniks and Graupner use these connectors on some of their speed controllers. The problem is if you cut them off you make your warranty on the speed controller invalid. I have found Halfords sell a pack of varying sizes of the male and female which I have used. They are pretty easy to crimp onto cable using a pair of pliers, but I have, in the past, used a small amount of solder to hold them in place.

I agree with bluebird. If you can soider them. I also use heat shrink over the outer wire onto the connecter to
ensure the wire holds ok if pulled or flexed. John.

My sparky showed me some new connectors which are compact, simple to use and vibration proof - worth a look :-))

It seems to me that is not saying a change of connector will void warranty, just that they wont cover changes to the connectors, ie if you change them they wont change the replacement ESC's connectors to what you put on. Could be wrong though {:-{
Its a standard connector Tamiya put on their motors \ Speed control, ordinary auto crimp bullets will work in them.

Bullet connectors over our way are quite common off the auto supply shelf - red and blue (wire size) - I use these quite often, just remember to add coloured tape to your wires if using for power where + / - is critical. The trick is to crimp these well - tinning the wire first helps.
