Title: Robbe U47 dive plane directions
Post by: gaji on July 25, 2011, 05:47:43 pm
Hi.  Recently a fellow modeller where he purchased the locking ring and piston tank from and an approx. price with the intention of fitting them in a part started Robbe U 47 I had purchased some time ago, but have not generated enough interest to finish it.
Instead of just purchasing the bits I ended up with the complete sub. Have carried out a few minor alterations. While checking the levering unit I noticed both dive planes worked in the same direction (both up/both down). If I lowered the bow downward the rear planes went upwards which I believe is correct. Is it correct for both planes (when the Tx stick is operated).
No doubt I will have more questions shortly.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Regards
George

Looking at the left side of the boat, to dive the rear plane turns clockwise, front anticlockwise. To submerge, they go t'other way

Thanks Andy that is the way I thought it was, but it is nice to have it confirmed. Your mate Klunk has been in touch for last 2Hrs trying to work that out and a few other issues.
