Title: Given the site a facelift
Post by: andyn on August 05, 2011, 08:27:05 pm
Spent the last couple of days while not making lobster pots giving the website a bit of a modernisation. Bit of Olay face cream did the trick ;)

Come see what you think!

Looks good to me, Andy, but klunk may have a point regarding anyone affected by colour blindness.

Peter.

I am not color blind....but the home page appears to have a few teething problems Mark/Andy  %%....all of the links from the "motors mounts couplings & shafts" catagory point to other things........ :embarrassed:.........Derek

Hi Andy, I am red/green colour blind and your colours work for me.

Dark colours on a dark background are the worse.  (http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p8/DickyD_photos/tumb.gif)

Dereks right,

They are right, the links do not go to the items in the pictures in the "motors mounts couplings & shafts" section. (http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p8/DickyD_photos/thinking1.gif)

Errors noted and will be fixed :-))

What happened is, in tidying up the site I deleted 7 pages. This generally messed the order of pages about and seeing as all of the links go to page numbers things have gone wrong.... I'll sort it all out when I get a chance

Andy :-)

Evening Andy........please remember my original comment earlier today was simply a ........."teething problem" & not a criticism of your WEB site or product .......Derek  ;)

I didn't disagree with Derek, and also found that the 'normal' link didn't work, merely pointed out that the relevant information could be found by clicking on the picture.

Not that it matters now that it is fixed.

Why does the simplest of comments seem to result in a  >>:-(  type response these days? {:-{

Anyway, Mark, Thanks for the updates to the website.

No offence taken, sometimes you "can't see the wood for the trees" when doing a website.... Still, to only miss 4 links on 43 pages was pretty good going!!! :-)) :-)) :-))

Let us know if we have missed any more!

Mark.
