Title: Hop Farm, Kent, 17-18 September
Post by: Davy1 on August 12, 2011, 11:29:54 am
Another event where submarines will be on display and in the water.

This is the Southern Model Airshow and the AMS have been invited to display etc. (Please PM me if you are not a member and I will pass you on to the organisers etc.)

I have not been to this event which is near Croydon but the AMS have been attending for many years. There is a good size temporary pool. This photo is from 2004 but I understand the arrangements are similar now:

It's a long walk from Croydon. It's almost bang in between Royal Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone.

If you end up in Croydon I suggest it's either time for a new sat nav or a map reading course {-)

Hoping to be there this year. Do we camp by the boats are being left or is it a separate camping area? Dave. :-)

morning

were you camp is between 25 and 60 yards from the display area depending on how early you get there

alan and myself are camping all weekend and there is security on site.

when the show is not on the only people on site are exhibitors. most people put the boats back in the cars overnight.

I was just wondering as when I'm camping at the moment I've got my small tent for sleeping in and tend to do cooking, sitting around etc under my pop up gazebo, but that'll be in the display area. Might have to get a bigger tent, or gazebo! Cheers, Dave.  ok2
