Title: Anyone recognise this RM
Post by: tr7v8 on August 28, 2011, 11:50:20 pm
Just bought this Marblehead from E Bay. Will recommission with new Radio & servos & have some fun! Anyone recognise it. I think it has always been a Kent based boat, although the guy I bought it from didn't build it & doesn't know who did. No registration number on hull or sails either.

Could do with a picture of the bow and stern, but it looks like a 'Blood Axe'. Does it have a sharp bow that then goes wider with a round chine.
A Stollery design, originally a vane boat.

I reckon it's a late sixties/early seventies roger stollery design,I think I may have a copy of it in one of my old model boats magazine
buried in my building shed, if I find it I'll post it here
 Cheers Col

Weird thing is it came up on my tablet when I hit unread posts? I'd written & responded before I realised. Ho hum.... %)

I have the same yacht.
But mine has an una rig. But sails brilliant.
I love old Marbleheads. I have three now all from the 1970’s
