There is an email doing the rounds in OZ with these photos of China's proposed new Aircraft Carrier which will see the light of day in 2013.
Whilst huge Aircraft Carrier's and ships have been built before what about this.
Googling the hoax sites doesn't confirm or deny the build?

made up on a wargames site I think, seen this one before a few years ago and its just one guys dreaming , doubt very much that any navy would build a carrier like this , the costs for a catamaran would be twice the cost of a monohull
-
yep....think LEGO have beaten them to it..£19.99 at toymaster, {-) {-)

China's 'new' aircraft carrier is the old rebuilt Russian one which just MAY be operational in 2013.
Just imagine the result if China tried to build something like the above given what is happening with their trains and bridges.....
-
its supposed to be 330,000 tonnes , only 3xs the size of a USN Nimitz class CVN , this will never see the light of day , the Chinese are supposed to have the full plans of the abandoned 110,000t Soviet CVN that was started but scrapped on the stocks after the end of the cold war so they might just be building that I guess

looks odly like a ship from an old game i had on the playstation
you could design your own warship ( destroyer, cruser, battleship, aircraft carrier, battlecarrior ( front of a battleship with the rear half being a carrior) )
there was a 'twin hull carrier' on that that had an extreemly similar design
i generally avoided carriers as they always lost vs battleships
-
A couple of them moored in the Thames Estuary would be just what Boris Johnson is looking for....
-
Or, as they used to say of the LST (Landing Ship Tank), Large Slow target.

According to the BBC, China's first aircraft carrier is about to start sea trials http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-14470882
