Post by: aslo44 on September 08, 2011, 03:59:37 pm
Hi, can any one tell me if the MFA 850 motor needs supressing ? If the answer is yes what capacitors do I need to use ? Thanks in advance. Alan

Yes. All DC motors should be suppressed... and from what I hear, especially MFA motors!

Hi Martin, thanks for your reply. Have you any idea what I need to do it ? I think I need
capacitors but I don't know what value. Alan

Lots of stuff on the Forum about motor suppression - just put suppression in the search box on the Forum home page and you will get stuff like this: http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=424.0

How convenient - a cue for a new product! Three big fat suppressors for big fat motors - still just a quid a packet.

Thanks Colin, it's just that most of the forums I'm a member of have the facility to search the sub forums
and when I tried to on here I only got the page I was on. I don't know how to explain it LoL. I know nothing about
electrics and a lot of advice goes over my head so I need it in laymans terms. thanks for the link.Alan
