I'm building a smallish (32") displacement hulled lifeboat. I have installed the propshafts, and i now need to select the motors. They will be driving twin 40mm brass 3 bladed props. Can anyone recomend a suitable motor please? Ideally they would be 6v, direct drive, and fairly economical so that i get a good run time. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Charlie

A couple of 12 volt 385s should do the job. One of them pushing my Snowberry (about the same length, probably weight a lot less) goes rather too fast on one and a 35mm prop.
