Any idea if there is any of it up for sale, only I am building a 1/24th scale fast breeder reactor out of a baked bean tin and will soon be ready to fuel it. %) %) %)

A more pertinent question would be;
Have ALL the nuclear warheads of the former USSR been accounted for ?

I don't know where the missing 2 tonnes are.

...But I suspect they're not all in the same place.  %%

I seem to recall that some time ago the USSR made a quantity of briefcase sized nuclear devices, some of which were unaccounted for after the fall of communism. Of all the reports of alleged missing nuclear material, how many, I wonder are rumours, paranoia, scaremongering or just plain idle speculation, and how many hold a grain of truth. Does anybody in the West really know what went on behind 'The Iron Curtain' since the end of WW2? :-X :-X :-X

Some was also lost at Sellafield about 5 or 6 years ago, about 30 kilos of plutonium, it seems they put it down to an accounting error. Are these people fit to be in charge of such dangerous material? all that university education and they still manage to loose the stuff!! These guys would be able to tell you the square root of a bean can, but wouldn't have a clue how to open it. %% %%

When any fuel plant is running there will be MUF.Missing unaccounred for.Their will be some in the pipe work.also small losses else where.This over time adds up and can give a suggestion that its been stolen.having said that im sure some muf has been taken or sold by our government, without us being told.John.
