Hi guys I have just been given this Losi 1/10th xcelorin brushless sensord 6.5t by a very kind friend everything is there pretty much brand new :) I no when brought it he spent nearly £200 my question is if I put it in a boat which I'm plaining on doing should I use water cooling jacket for the motor or a coil?

I wouldn't recommend it for a boat, the Kv is way too high, approximately 6900Kv, It must have a gearing solution if you are going to use it, about 2:1 in a FE on 7.2 volts and a lot more if its 11.1 capable or the boat is not a racing FE.

Cooling is dependant on the load you put the motor under, but a coil or jacket will both be effective.
