Yesterday at the Sheffield Ship Model Society open day I met Stan the man from the Kirklees MBC.
He asked me a question that had me stumped,
after telling me the answer he asked me to open the question up to all of the Mayhem members, so here we go.
This is a picture of Stan's CVE Gambier Bay

And this is Stan's next project,

The last picture is the actual carrier taken in 1944 with 13 Zero's and 1 Kate torpedo bomber on it's deck.
Stan's question is
"What CV is this" ?
Hope you have better luck answering it than I did.

Richard :-))

Is it the Japanese aircraft Carrier Akagi
Jimmy
-
Sorry Jimmy no
-
USS COPAHEE (AVG-12)
aye
john

Bang on John,
CVE 12 it is. USS Copahee.
If it is built as well as the Gambier Bay then they will look spectacular together.
Didn't think it would last long as a poser in Mayhem land.
