I have just started to build my model of hms ark royal at 1/96th scale. we doubled all the measurments to make it 100'' long, my dad cut out the keel and bulkhead frames on his power fretsaw as it is quite scary and i sanded them all smooth. we have just started to build the frame of the hull.
I hope you like the pictures that my dad took of me building my model (even though there is not much to see yet), i could not wait to post this on the forum.
PS. thank you again john for the plans. :D
-
Dear Hannah,
Well done! I could never do what you are doing unfortunately, I simply don't have the patience, skill, or proper time. I like to think I am good at maintenance and general repairs/adjustments/mods./additions, but I could simply never build from scratch as you are! Please let us know every month or so how your project proceeds.
All the Best, Regards, Bernard2
-
Really good Hannah, I wish I could get my son as enthusiastic about modelling [boats] as you obviously are.
Keep posting the pictures.
Richard ;)
-
Nice work Hanna....I wonder what age you will be when its finished!!!
chromedome (George)
-
That is going to be a monster hannah, you will need your Dad to launch her.
sokeep on his good side :)
Bob
-
Hi Hannah
WOW, once again. I could never even consider to take on a project of this size, for fear of stuffing it up. I cant wait to see more pics of your build. You are really powering on.

Dear Hannah,
Is it the WW2 Ark you are building?
Regards, Bernard2
-
She is doing really well, C'mon Bernard, check those frames out, of course its WW2 ;)
Paul...
-
Very nice Hannah wish i had the space you have.it will be grate when finished job keep up the good work and do not let dad spoil it.
-
Dear Paul,
:P :-* ;D!!!! lol - not as clever as you!!!
Regards, Bernard2
-
Go for it Hannah :D :D You have certainly taken on a challenge there. Look forward to seeing pictures of the progress
MikeK
-
Well done keep posting the pictures, keep up the good work. Are you going to populate the deck with an airwing?
Daryl
-
Hi Daryl I will be putting a squadron of swordfish on her but not for at least 18 months!!! looking at the plan it is hard to imagine how big the model will be but now all the frames are mounted on the keel she will be a monster but dad says we can build in 2 halves so she will be easy to transport if not to sail!!! ;D ;D
hannah
-
Hannah, what a superb project and what a credit to you for taking it on. It seems to be increasingly difficult to get youngsters interested in modelling of any form nowadays and here are you taking on a model that most of us would think twice about tackling. Very well done.
I look forward to seeing the pictures as the model progresses. By the way I think you need to ask your Dad for a bigger workshop!!
-
I have been busy the last 3 days after school, i have put a few planks on i am slowly getting the hang of it
-
Going great Hannah. Reckon you are trying to show us all up.
Keep it up.
Richard ;)
-
That is one big beast.
Bob
-
I have been busy the last 3 days after school, i have put a few planks on i am slowly getting the hang of it
I think you should change the word slowly, to quickly, Hannah. Your build is looking very good. Keep the pictures coming.
-
Wow comeing along nicely, I am sure it would look fantastic on the water. If you are ever near RNAS Yeovilton their museum is well worth a look it has lots of exhibits which are appropriate to HMS Ark Royal, also a bit of trivia. In Bristiol docks there is a boat moored called Doddys Ark, it belongs to the last person to fly off her deck before she sank.
Keep up the good work
Daryl
-
Well done Hannah, coming on in leaps and bounds!
Dear All,
Did the WW2 Ark Royal carry Walrus aircraft?
Regards, Bernard2
-
Hi Bernard2
As far as I am aware Walrus was not carried by Ark Royal.
Daryl
-
The Ark Royals aircraft were over her lifetime Skua,Roc,Swordfish,Fulmar and Albacore.
Richard ;)
-
To save any arguments my model will be carrying a full airwing of swordfish torpedo bombers. I have been busy again today and me and dad have planked nearly quarter of the hull and it so the hull will soon be finished but we are running very low on plywood and dad says we cant buy any more until he has sold his hms intrepid. I will post some more pics soon.
Hannah ;D ;D ;D
-
Hello everyone, I have still been very busy on HMS Ark Royal, I have done alot more planking, I keep thinking it will never be finished!!!!
I have now run out of wood but me and dad are going to Westbourne Model Centre this weekend to get some more (and I am visiting my nan and grandad).
Here are a few more pictures, hope you all like them.
Hannah
-
Still doing great Hannah, shame youve run out of wood.
By the way when you are at Westbournes could you chase up my crystals for me?
Richard ;)
-
Hannah,
She is comming along VERY nicely, keep up the good work.
Bob
-
:o Wow!
Keep those updates coming, that is one impressive model and modeler!
-
Hello everyone, I am planning to get her finished and sailing her for the first time at the mayhem weekend!!!!!!! lol. I have got 2 weeks off school now so me and dad are hoping to get the hull finished and hopefully painted as well.
Hannah.
-
Hannah, all credit to you for getting to grips with this project. If you are ever short of any materials make sure you let us know here as I know there will always be someone willing to help you out.
Did you get your wood?
-
hi bunkerbarge i have not got the wood yet i am going to get it this weekend as i am going to westbourne model centre i am going to get it there
hannah ::) ::)
-
Dear Hannah,
I think you are trying for a record build by the looks of it :o Well done!
-
Sorry, forgot to sign off my last. Regards, Bernard2
-
looking good hanna
why did you choose this model over the others out there???
-
hi bigford i chose this model because i have always been interested in the search of the bismarck and the second world war history plus she is a beautiful ship.
I have been down westbourne model center the weekend I have got enough wood to finish my hull now and i have two weeks off of school now as it is the easter holidays so i am hoping to get hull planking finished will post some more pics soon. :) :) :D
hannah
-
Hi everyone, I have been busy the last 2 days and I alot closer to finishing the planking. I am going to build the rest of the bow and stern solid (bread and butter according to my dad) to make it stronger in case I hit anything hard. I hope you all enjoy the new pictures and I will post some more soon.
Hannah.
-
Looking good Hannah. Would be no good me making anything like that, I dont think I would be able to lift it.
Keep showing us up.
Richard ;)
-
Excellent work a BIG well done so far ! :)
Its almost big enough for you to sit in and sail around yourself ! ;D ;D
-
I cant quite fit in it perhaps I should have built it 1/72 scale, make some paddles and use it as a canoe!!!!!!
Hannah
-
Impressive Hannah
well done
-
Hello everyone, I have been slaving away all week on the hull with my dad's help and I have finished planking the hull. The bow and stern was shaped using P40 paste to make them very strong and is covered with car body filler. I have started filling and sanding the rest of the hull but I don't like sanding much it is boring!! I hope you all like the pics.
Hannah.
-
Really coming on in leaps and bounds Hannah its looking great.
Richard ;)
-
hi there, Hannah is that from the Plans? Marvelous - its looking terrific - amazing!
You thought planking was bad, now all the sanding and filling. Dont forget to wear a facemask to stop the dust and to protect the lungs ; Keep on building, look forward to more pics.
aye

-
You're right, Hannah, filling and sanding, sanding and filling - it's mind-numbing. If only someone produced GRP hulls for all the ships we want to build at a price we could all afford......
Still, your "Ark" is looking good. Keep rubbing and, as John says, wear a mask - otherwise you'll never grow up to be a grumpy old *** like the rest of us!
Rick
-
looking great, well worth the effort, if its any consolation my son gets me to do the sanding as he finds it boring.
Well Done
Daryl
-
Hi guys, I did tell Hannah to wear a mask on more than one occasion but would she listen, no. Perhaps now someone else has mentioned it she might listen to her GOG dad for a change.
mark
-
Hannah
I worked in the building industry as a carpenter and joiner. A very dusty job. We did not wear a mask in those days because we didn't realize how dangerous it was.
Now I am in my late 50s I can walk maybe 50 yards without stopping to get my breath back on a good day but on bad day I am in a wheelchair. I also spend alot of time in hospital and have already died once, but been brought back.
I have to be on oygen at night.
I cannot lift any sort of weight including my boats. I have to have help for most things.
This is because I have emphesyma caused in part through breathing in wood, plaster and other types of dust over a number of years.
So please Hannah listen to your dad and one who knows and always wear a mask when sanding.
Keep up the good work.
Richard ;)
-
Hannah, realy looking good. wonderfull job, cant wait to see it finished.
now for the boring bit. LISTEN TO US OLD FARTS, AND WEAR A MASK. no one is going to see you, or if they do you can say it is a new fashion.
Keep up the good work
colin
-
It's looking lovely Hannah. Well done, I expect you are exited, now it looks like a proper boat. ;D Great.
Please wear a mask, even when you dust off those speckled trousers. It really is dangerous stuff, that filler and glass, to the last bit.
All the best from Ken in Newport.
Cheers....Ken
-
Hi, me and my dad have been working hard and the hull will be in primer tomorrow. I did take some more pics but we are having a problem downloading them onto the computer. I am pleased that most of the sanding is now finished. I will post some more pics very soon.
Hannah.
-
You are getting on with her very well, certainly putting me to shame :)
Keep up the good work, I am sure she will look superb when finished.
Bob
-
Hello everyone, me and dad have got the hull painted in primer today. I had my first go with a spray gun today like they use on cars, it was quite heavy but it did the job really quick. I will be flatting it off tomorrow when the primer has cured. Tomorrow I am hoping to get the prop shafts and rudder in and then we will start on the cutouts on the side of the hull.
Hannah.
-
Looking good Hannah,
You'll be finished next week then ? ;D
Richard ;)
-
I and my son (http://www.hot.ee/cirill/ ) in delight from you! :o
-
Dear Hannah,
How much £ would you want for the finished article???!!!
Regards, Bernard2
-
Hello Bernard, can I sail it first before selling her anyway could you afford to pay me enough to part with something I dont want to sell!!!!LOL!
Me and my dad are thinking perhaps building models for a living (look out Mr Haynes) only joking!!
Anyway here are a couple of pics for you all to have a laugh at!!!!
Hannah.
-
Cool mask Hannah. Good on yer.
Nice clean job. Suppose Dads indoors with his feet up? ???
Richard ;)
-
Hannah, you are looking really professional! Keep it up!
-
hi richard, actually i was sitting in the sun having a beer break, had a few today its nice watching hannah working so hard and enjoying herself as well. by the way it was funny watching her spray the hull she jumped out of her skin every time the compressor started!!!
mark.
-
Your a lucky bloke Mark, I wish I could get my lot interested in boats like young Hannah.
Come to think of it I wish I could get them interested in anything.
Have one for me, Richard ;)
-
Ermmm....i'm in the wrong hobby, if that's how the younger generation are building boats, well, what chance do use 32yr old's have ???....i've been out done by a tiddler...oh the shame of it all :-[
-
Hannah,
Shouldnt you be wearing a mask when doing all that rubbing down :)
Seriously, your model is looking superb, I am glad you enjoy all that hard work, Like DickyD, wish my lot would.
Bob
-
Dear Hannah,
Thankyou for your reply. Just joking really. Don't blame you for not wanting to part with your ship after all that work. Another few weeks and it will be finished! ;D - what's the next project!!! ;D
Regards, Bernard2
-
Helo everyone, still working hard the camera/computer is playing up again so no pics at the moment. Me and dad installed the three prop shafts today the centre shaft is a flexi shaft from an old fast electric boat my dad crashed years ago and never repaired, this shaft made it alot easier to put in the hull as we did not have to remove any of the keel like you would with a solid shaft and the other two are normal solid shafts. I am hoping to get the hull completed and some electrics installed for the mayhem weekend and sail her!!! Will post some more pics soon.
Hannah.
-
Hello everyone, we finally sorted the camera/computer out here are some pics of the prop shafts and props installed. My dad did one side and I copied what he did on the other side. We haven't done much more as we were Billing Aquadrome for a car show the weekend.
-
o m g . im a new member and wow im totaly impressed wished i had the patience to build it . good work kiddo keep it up and she will soon be sailing .
-
hello
i don't think that this has been asked before but just how old is Hannah and why is she better than building than me
cheers
gary
-
Hello Gary, I am 10 years old at the moment and I will be 11 on the 26th May and I will be celebrating my 11th birthday at the Mayhem weekend dont forget my present ;D ;D ;D ;D.
Hannah.
-
Well Martin - a prize is certainly called for here!
-
Just seen the photos uploaded on the 10th of April - Hannah, your garage is haunted - just look at those orbs! :o :o
-
Hannah
Sorry sweet heart but the Mayhem weekend we are off to Cornwall for a week i did ask Martin to move the weekend but he was not able to i will get Joanne my wife to make you a card, tell the old man i will call his Sunday afternoon.
cheers
gary
-
Hello everyone, we are getting the Most Haunted team in soon!!!!!! Gary my modelling skills need a lot more practice, you should see what I have thrown away ;D ;D anyway my dad is a good teacher and he always encourages me to do my best.
Just to change the subject a little, I was wondering am I the youngest member on this forum.
Hannah.
-
Hannah
You must be the youngest, the rest of us are all old, well over 18 (54 actually) ;D ;D ;D ;D.
See you at the weekend
The other Brian
-
Hannah,
I think its safe to say you are the youngest.
Bob
-
naw, i am! well, my girl freind keeps on telling me to act my age, not my shoe size(8)
keep up the good work
colin
-
That is some chunk of ship! Mind if I ask what width ply you used for the planking? I have only used balsa up to now but want to try ply on my next project as it will be sailed by a rather ham fisted young boy!
-
hi zanussi and welcome to the forum we used 1/16 birch ply for the planking cut using a stanley knife and a steel straight edge. the bow and stern are made from 1/4 ply built solid bread and butter style for some extra strength. the hull turned upside down on the floor is strong enough to hold hannahs weight so it will take quite a bit of abuse and i think it will!!! ;D ;D ;D
we will have some more pics posted soon as the ark has been put on hold for a few weeks, i have been busy sorting the paintwork on my day van and me and hannah have been building springer tugs ready for the mayhem weekend.
mark.
-
Thanks for that, I may have to try 2mm (5/64) as I cannot seem to locate any 1.5mm (1/16) in my area (Barnsley S.Yorks).
Know what you mean about things getting in the way of these builds: work, home, sleep, just makes it hard!
I think it fantastic the way you have got Hannah into the hobby, I am trying to get my youngest into it, seen here examining the prototype Fairmile Type D we will be building in 1/24 this summer (had not realised just how big that was until we cut the keel last night!) The only building my eldest ever showed interest in was the pile of unwashed clothes in his bedroom, yet now he has joined the army as an aircraft fitter! Must be me!
Will follow Hannah's build with great interest, I am hoping to do the follow on ship if I ever finish my current projects, she appeared in the TV series "Sailor" when I was a kid and it had a profound effect on my life.
-
Hi Hannah, keep up the good work and I hope you had a very happy birthday....I work on a Swordfish that wears 1939 Ark Royal Markings. do you plan to have Swordfish on board??...........Tony
-
Hello Tony, I am planning to put a flight of Swordfish on the deck and hopefully I will be able to get the props turning on a few, but it won't be for a little while yet!!
Lovely picture of the Swordfish by the way.
Hannah.
-
Hi Hannah
Ark Royal is looking good. I Have lots of plans if your interested, at the moment just completing a county class destroyer, rescued from a skip. This is a great hobby and you have a great dad Keep up the good work. Also as many contributors have said ,take care and happy modelling
-
Hello everyone, I have been busy cutting big holes in my hull today ;D ;D. I think it will be a long job as I have got to do about 50 of them, (I am not sure how many as every time I count them I end up with a diferent number!!)
My dad did do a bit when my hands got tired.
Hannah, Springer champion. :D ;D
-
Not too many holes, Hannah. Look what happened to me. ;D
Seriously though, are these the portholes? Will you be glazing them ? I have been looking for 'Cockpit glue' as I understand this doesn't leave stains on the windows. I can't find any in the local shops.
Might trip over to Cwmbran tommorrow, Mark, What sort of times are there people about with boats. I thought I might bring the scruffy springer for another game of football. :D :D
Er indoors wants to go hypermarket browsing, so might not be able to stay too long.
Cheers...Ken
-
Hello Ken, no they are not portholes, they are cut outs in the side of the hull for ships boats ect I have not tried to count the portholes yet!!!. We will be going to Cwmbran tomorrow if its not raining!! 10am to 1 pm
-
Very nice guys, looking forward to it completed.
Little Hanna, sterling work, that is what model building is all about!
-
Hannah,
She is looking VERY good, glad to see your dad doing a LITTLE bit! :)
Bob
-
Hello, Hannah.
Thought you may be interested in these 3 pics.
1. HMS "Hermes" taken off the Cape of Good Hope in 1967(8?).
2. HMS "Triumph" before she was converted to a maintenance/repair ship.
3. HMS "Victorious" taken (I believe) during her sea trials. So she and your "Ark" must be around the same age? Could be wrong, but perhaps some of the details may be of assistance.
-
Hello Bryan, are you a mind reader, I was thinking when my Ark Royal is finished I might have a bash at HMS Victorious at the same scale. I like aircraft carriers I think it will be a while yet. I would like a fleet of them!! ;D ;D
Hannah, springer champion. ;D
-
The post war Ark and Vicky kept leap frogging each other in major refits, Vicky at one point was stripped down to her lower hull, have some photos of her in dock with her whole engines and boilers open to the air, both changed appearances drastically during their lives, there is a lot to choose from, but for me it would be interesting to build Vicky, Hermes or Eagle just to model that monster 968 radar! Awesome to think they were supposed to actually carry two each!
When I joined up Ark was our only operational fixed wing carrier, but where we drilled on the parade ground in basic training we had a superb view of Eagle anchored out in the Hoe, slowly rusting away, the only aircraft flying off her belonging to the local model aircraft clubs. Personally I doubt this country will ever operate a fixed wing carrier again, except by enthusiasts such as ourselves of course.
-
Dear Zanussi,
Interesting re what you say re carriers, because it's true. The reason being that carriers, like the earlier pre-WW2 big gun battleships, are in most operational cirmumstances becoming obsolete due to changing technologies and strategy. Big ships cost big money, not only to build but - as we all know - to operate and maintain (and update). As I said before, exactly the same thing happend to the big gun fast battleships and heavy cruisers, and their demise was caused by aircraft and aircraft carriers (the Pacific War and the Battle of Midway in particular proved how effective aircraft carriers were in destroying big ships. Now the table has turned again, and aircraft carriers can be replaced by long range aircraft and helicopters carried on much smaller vessels - let alone long range ship to ship missiles etc., etc., etc.. Carriers in a theatre of war now need just as much (if not more), support craft as the big gun battleships of WW2 (anti submarine vessels and aircraft, submarine support - usually at least one but sometimes two - anti aircraft vessels with a vast array of missiles etc.). The only time carriers could be of use now is as floating bases for large land operations, however, as with any country who can keep such an item, they are cutting back naval budgets as there other cheaper alternatives to these costly items. A carrier caught flat footed these days could be dispensed with, and what a disaster that would be; thus why there is so much backup support for them. I suppose it could be said these days that submarines are the capital ships of today... a countries defence and attack capability is really based on how many of these they have, and world standing and 'prestige' is judged this way also (again similarly in many ways as battleships pre WW2). After all, one submarine these days could do more damage more quickly and cheaper, than 20 aircraft carriers and their backup fleet - and not be noticed anywhere near as much. Anyway, just observations.
Regards, Bernard2
p.s. Well done Hannah, your superb Ark Royal is coming on beautifully!!!
-
Wow That is an impressive build, alot braver than me i will stick to my fibreglass hulls i think. You should be very proud of your work especially at such a young age.
stu
-
Hi Hannah, found these in a drawer at work yesterday, thought they maybe of some use to you............Keep up the good work...........Tony
-
Hi Hannah, my dad sailed on her in the Med so I've saved a few nice photos of her too, here they are (you can't have too many reference photos when scratchbuilding I find);
-
Theres only one Christian ;D
-
They're too big to put more than one per post, at the moment I'm having a problem as they are not correctly formatted. I keep getting the message "You can only post pictures of these types...", but the photos are all j-pegs so should be OK. I'll figure out a way, during coffe breaks, so hopefully by this evening I'll have put about half a dozen nice pictures here. In fact I'll try e-mailing them to you to post, keep an eye out for'em.

Hannah I still can't believe that someone so young is showing such incredible levels of drive and enthusiasm to complete such an unbelievable project that the vast majority of us would shy away from.
You really are amazing and not just an inspiration to us all but an example to all youngsters of today of just what you can do if you out your mind to it. I hope a lot more young people are equally inspired and realise how much more there is out there than computer games and DVD's.
I really enjoy watching this thread and look forward to seeing her on the water.
-
Thank you all for the pictures. I am getting there slowly but I am enjoying every minute building her and I am looking forward to getting her on the water.
Hannah, Springer Champion.
-
Not so long ago I sent you a pic. of Hermes....and came across these 2 more taken during the same replenishment. Thought you may be interested, especially in the "old" aircraft. Keep it up! BY.
-
Hello everyone, I have been hard at work doing the hull cut outs and one side is now finished (at last!!). I have also done the side armour plating on both sides and I have started doing the cut outs on the other side (my dad has been helping a bit as well!!)
I have also finished the bow and stern decks, I did these separate to the main part of the deck as they are a very awkward shape.
As you can see by the pictures she is starting to look like a ship now ;D ;D.
Hannah.
-
She is certainly comming along.
Shame about that ropey old motorbike in the background though :)
Bob
-
Looking really good Hannah, you've done alot since the last photos.
I did notice that all those holes you cut seem to have healed up in the last photo.
Shame about the old van and motorbike in the photos. ;)
-
We wondered why those cut outs seem to take so long!!!! ;D ;D ;D looks like you hit the nail on the head Richard.
Mark and Hannah.
-
Shhhhhhhhhh, I wasnt going to mention them :)
Bob
-
Can aircraft kits be obtained at the correct scale? You are surely not going to build them all from scratch too?
I can only find MKI Fairey Swordfish kits at 1/48 and 1/72 (from Tamiya and Corgi).
Will you use Fulmars, Swordfish and Skuas?
I see Deans Marine offers a range of aircraft at 1/96 for their HMS Fencer but they do not mention which types.
-
Hi mate, we were planning to make our own, make one and take a mould and cast in resin, weight will not be an issue on a model of this size ;D ;D ;D
If that proves too difficult we will use the Deans Marine Swordfish from HMS Fencer.
We have not done much more to the Ark recently as we are in the middle of our car show season and we spend alot of time drinking!!! 8)....... plus we have got rid of Hannah for TWO WHOLE WEEKS!!! as she is staying with her nan and grandad on the New Forest (it's soooo Quiet...... heaven!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D)
Keep you all updated as we progress,
Mark.
-
Mark can Hannahs Nan and Grandad get her to Setley pond on Sunday morning ,thats where the Solent club sail.
-
Mark, if you go the Deans Marine (or whichever kit) route I pledge you one plane.
-
Thank you for your generosity, I have just spoken to Hannah tonight and she was choked, it has made her day. There is some really nice people on this forum who have sent plans and have encouraged Hannah on this build and we cannot thank you enough.
Mark.
(P.S. anyone else want to sponsor a plane) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
Hi Mark, I'm up for that, let me know how you want to play it.........Smudge..... FLY NAVY...
-
I 'll build you an RC one that flys but I think it may be a bit big to fit on that deck :-\ ;D
But will also buy one of Deans for Hannah if it helps fill up that substantial deck space (http://shutter01.pictures.aol.com/data/pictures/05/002/1F/7F/C8/FF/oHFGsgrPFI9tQ8Hlsf-1Lg1ogl8urnR7001A.jpg)
Shane
-
Throw my name in the hat aswell for a swordfish, just let me know how you want to play it?
stu
-
Hi guys, we are both over whelmed with your generosity, we are in the process of moving house at the moment and most of the modelling gear is packed away ready to move, (that's why there have been no updates recently).
We will pm you all after we have moved and thank you all again,
Mark and Hannah.
-
Hannah
I will sponser a plane, once you have settled down after the move let me know how you want to play it.
Brian
-
Hi Mark and Hannah
Are you moving nearer the lake ?. Didn't know you were changing address. Will you be moving areas ?
Ken
-
Hi Ken, we are not moving too far away, we are moving to Christchurch.
Mark.
-
Just showed this build to my 11 year old son to try and inspire him, " thats great dad.....can i go on my playstation now" :-\

Just showed this build to my 11 year old son to try and inspire him, " thats great dad.....can i go on my playstation now" :-\
Know exactly how you feel. Have already offered to exchange my nipper for Hannah. ;)

So how long before work restarts?
Bob
-
hi guys, the ark build will be started again in the next couple of weeks when the garage is sorted out. O0 O0
hannah
-
If the finished model is to the standard of your destroyer Hannah, it will be superb.
-
Your two weeks have long gone Hannah, what's up, the old man not sorted the garage out yet ? :-\
-
So we have a No Mustang Mark on the forum.
Do we also have a No Ark Royal Hiapita as well ? :-\
Whats happening Hannah ?

I'd like to add to your squadron as well please Hannah............you have just about persuaded me to have a go at Hermes. (Coz I like helicopters!) ???
Keep up the great work.

good grief I can't believe I have not read this post! Bad Matt!
This is brilliant! Its great to see a young modeller building something spectacularly huge, and properly at the same time.
Keep up the good work Hannah!
-
Whats happened on the Ark Royal front Hannah, haven't heard anything for ages ? :-\
-
hi all, i have been in the garage today with dad and we have restarted my ark. there is not much to report on at the moment as we have been repairing the damage from when we moved and also we have finished all of the cutouts in the hull.

Great to hear you finally kicked your dad into gear. Finally!!
