We dont chase wildlife on our lake.
We dont have swans or ducks but we do have these which we treat with respect.

Richard...I thought it was a joke until I viewed the last image with a model vessel in the water & the ponies having a drink.......... :o
Now we may have some unique large animals in OZ <*< .....but we don't have the ones with the long coat & horns........are they a cousin of the Woolly Mammoth?
I can understand why your members treat them with due respect O0 ..........Derek

Marvelous photo's and a wonderful place to sail, I'm impressed.
I don't really like 'holidays' but that is one place I would spend 2 weeks or more if I only could.
Thanks for those :-))

Great pictures!
Mind you, I doubt if you dare collide with any of them anyway, by the sheer size of some of them, you would sink your boat before they would even notice something "bothering" them !
We have loads of swans, ducks and geese on our pool normally, but they have gotten used to our boats and we can sail quite easily most times, even within their own " groups" and not cause a stir. providing we sail at a safe speed of course!

This shows that man can exist with animals etc.Until some self opinionated idiot comes along with a fast boat, no brain and a self opinionated attitude.John.

I don't reckon they chase the wild live here either.

Barry, I take it you have do not have too many volunteers to put on the waders and rescue a stranded boat, or if they do it's only once they try %% %% %%

We find that ducks are OK, they don't cause any trouble but swans, especially the male (Cob) not only in the spring, will attacl a sailing boat. maybe it is the white sails? Anyway, they will do serious damage to the boat. Then you get stupid comments from the shore telling you to leave the swans in peace!! By the way, we have seen a swan drown a complete family of ducklings, just for fun!!
