Post by: gregk9 on October 21, 2011, 11:30:09 pm
Anyone know of a suplier of some rubber fendering?
I will shortly need a suitable length for my 1/12th Scale Lifeboat.

Any ideas?
And of course, not at a silly price either [ha ha.

Nautical supply places - hatch cover sealing - quite often in cut your own lengths. Material we see sold here has the adhesive already on it - pull & stick.

Something like this?  :-)

It's a buna rubber pretty stiff, 3/8" on the flat...
If you can't find it locally let me know.

Thanks for replies guys.
I think thats this company   http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/

has about the best selection and at a reasonable cost, unfortunately the model boat suppliers seem to have gone over the top on cost with their selection.

I am however waiting for a company to mail me some samples, before making final decision, if this "other company" is any good and also "right" on cost, I will  post their details too.
