Hi Larry.

Just a suggestion.  Have a look  (or join up) on the Paddleducks site. They have everything on paddlers you could imagine. I'm sure you will be able to get info on the drawings you are looking for.

              http://www.paddleducks.co.uk/smf/index.php?action=forum

Hope this helps.

Hi There, Model Boats mag did a free plan of an African river steamed many years ago called Lulonga which may be available from their plans service. heres a couple of photos to whet your appetite, and a link to Hull MBC with more.
Happy hunting,
Nick.

being adopted hull native in the late 50tys  as was with the army as TA instructor at Beverley Rd,

so some happy times then ,    i think the ferry to GRIMSBY was a paddle job ?

Hello mate, I am not from Hull, I remembered having the plan sometime in the late 80's and had a quick look on the net to see if I could find some pictures for you. I live on the Wirral and have done for most of my life.
Regards,
Nick. :-)) :-)) :-))

To LarryW:
I have the plan for "Lulonga" (as posted by pettyofficernick) and will probably never use it to build a model  - if you want it, you can have it!

I think Lulonga was a "quarter wheeler" with independently controllable wheels to improve steering - could be an interesting challenge to build.

Looks like you're making great progress! I really like the scratchbuilt paddle wheels and the woodwork on the wheelhouse/cabin. Is the hull scratchbuilt, or a commercial moulding?

Have you managed to obtain a copy of the Model Boats article on Lulonga yet? If not, I'll send you a scan of my copy.

Keep up the good work, young man...

Coming along nicely, paddle wheels are a bit dodgy to make, much care is needed. Where did you get the 'two hole' split pins from? the ones you have used as stanchions on the bridge. They deffo look the part, most usefull. :-)) :-)) :-))

Final deck bits done , punt winches , anchors , and a helmsman , modified pound shop crew , and little bit of weathering .
will get a better pic when the weather gets better , so i will put  this model on shelf  , to wait for engine fit and drive chain.....
