Title: Tug Brocklebank (1964) build
Post by: jonbuoy on October 24, 2011, 04:01:23 pm
Hi newbie here
Has anyone built this tug or has any detailed pictures or plans?
I used to live in liverpool, but now in East Sussex so am not able to get to the
Albert dock to take pictures of it.
Need birds eye view of deck if possible.

Note Wincham in the background has been scrapped in rather strange circumstances <*<

Ooh I just love strange circumstances - and I'm sitting comfortably. Spill the beans Funtimefrankie

Jonbuoy - I'm off to the Echo Arena on Saturday for Carnival du Vampires Rock http://vampiresrock.com/ (supposed to be a very good show) I'll try to pop over for those pics you mention.

Word's fail me on the fate of the Wincham, what a ridicolous situation and after all that money being spent on her. Our whole maritime history is slowl;y being eroded by the these so called intelligent people all over the UK. They did a similar thing at Swansea Maritime Museum, took away all the old historic exhibit's and put in push button screen's that show or tell nothing. Let us hope they leave the Brocklebank well alone.

Thanks Norseman.
She always seems to be tied up with her starboard side by the quay.
So you might need a long lensed camera for a close up of the port side.

Pityful. All this was in 2009 by the look of it when the lottery and the Historic ships were looking to get nearly 45 grand back.

Did they get anything of did the WPS just say tough s..t?
