Title: Building the Fairmount Alpine.
Post by: irishcarguy on November 06, 2011, 09:03:29 am
Has anybody on the forum started a build of Billings Fairmount Alpine, I have bought the kit but as yet have not started to build it. I have ordered most of the electrics & already have the radio ( Robbe F14 ) I would love to hear from prospective builders. The quality of the kit is very good except for the CHEAP props, imagine plastic props on a model costing 350.00 pounds, hard to believe.Mick B.

Hi everyone, I really thought SOMEONE on our forum would have considered building or have started to build the Fairmount Alpine by now, if so I would like to hear from you, thanks Mick B.

it may help, if you post this in the appropriate board. not here under painting Finishing and Care. I'm sure someone will then chip in. Sorry couldn't help more.

Thanks Hollow, thats what happens when you get old & dumb. I would not have noticed my mistake without your help. I am still new to the forum but not making excuses for being dumb. Mick B.

Thanks John, that is a nice build he has going on the Dutch site. The tug looks like it has to be well sealed as the rear looks low in the water. I can see it being a problem & I don't have an answer as of yet. Mick B.
