Title: Here's one for you Sherlock Holmes types.....
Post by: Nige52 on November 09, 2011, 04:38:08 pm
Having time on my hands I was looking at Ebay's categories and came across their 'Everything else' section where oddities are offered.
I came across an advert for this....Have a look (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YS-/150693661807?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item23160acc6f)

Eh? A couple of letters???

Looking at this guys feedback I discovered he has sold many many of these 'Things'.....but what are they?

My instinct tells me that whatever it is, it's probably illegal, or is it?

C'mon Sherlock, or maybe Inspector Frost....what is this guy selling?????

 :o :o :o

He's selling midifiles. In this case files to be used with Yamaha Keyboards.  The 2 letter sales are sample files which he selling for 4.95 each. He's already sold one ys.  Unusual way of listing but I think if he was more specific Ebay may start to wonder where the files came from in the first place, if they suspect he's copying files and flogging them they'll pull his listings.  He'd have to prove he created the file originally on his own Yamaha and we can guess how likely that is!
