Hi there just a quick post to introduce myself :- right then ---I am originally a Yorkshire lad dragged up near the moors where my brother used to fly air craft that he had made who then got me into it . I have scratch made and flown various airplanes , gliders , I.C. and electric but a  change in disciplines into boats has now got to me. I am wanting to scratch build a Trent lifeboat 1/12 scale and any advise such as- don't do it fool- would be appreciated  :embarrassed:

From one Yorkshireman to another.........   DON'T DO IT FOOL !!!!!!!!  {-) {-) {-)

UNLESS you are prepared to become so involved in building a lifeboat that all other things are excluded such as eating, drinking, sleeping, sex , well maybe not all sex  8),  and boring the pants off other builders with stories of the hardships involved in the project.

I've been doing it for years and must say it's a great thing to do so don't forget to post the pictures as you go.  :-))

Thanks for the welcome and warning about what I will be missing --as long as there is time for a beer it will be alright.

Am getting a set of plans from RNLI and hope to scale them up and will post as often as I can
Bye for now   :-))  :}
