G'day all. My name is Clive Griffiths although my member name is GriffoTheBold. This nickname came about by taking a radical step with a customer that really paid off for him.
My interest in boating started when I discovered model boat endurance racing when I lived in Johannesburg, RSA back in the late sixties early seventies. Leaving Africa to go back to Australia rather put modelling interest on hold until I took up R/C aircraft and then flying Ultralights (microlights). The rising costs of flying put a stop to that little endeavour.
I am now retired and living in Tasmania and with a bit of time to spare (I hope) I am going to take up model boats. There will probably be a few questions in the future.
My other interest is to make steam engines.

Hi Clive
Friendly bunch here and no question goes unanswered. If you put a build thread up pm me and I'll look in. Steam - don't understand it but I'm willing to learn
Random question here, Tasmania/Deloraine - do you have big spiders?
Regards Dave
