hi Fletch62  if you are lucky it will arrive to you with the  kit supplied motor fitted, it is a lovely little geared 6 volt motor and I still have mine fitted in the model and she manages to move our 16ft towboat  around.attached is a picture taken after her 12year refit  and mdification.

A very tidy build.   :-))  She looks very clean. The third picture looks as if the boat is all one colour. Is this just the first coat ?  What sort of colour scheme are you going for ?

Well done so far.

You could try black above the water line, on the hull. That would set it off nicely.  :}

Sounds good.   Spray the Whole hull in Red Oxide first, then your choice of Red (if the Oxide is not to your taste).   That way, you should be able to mask off the line and cover the lower section with several sheets of newspaper and spray the black above.

If you work with the boat upside down, there will be minimal paint bleed into the boat.

Hope this helps.  I love the painting part and we have an expert on here  (Welsh Wizard) who can also help you more.

Regards

ken
