I think we should get back to the original post as I has become difficult to post on mayhem at times because of the clever clogs who come along and blow a simple job on a model out of all proportion , why can we not get people talking from what they have acutely experienced, it would help new people on the site.

That's a good clause for our esteemed Modetators to intervene with . . .
"I am charging you under Section 21 of the Strange Sketch Act"

Some threads with differing but valid opinions have been helpful to me as a newbie in realising options, some threads move relentlessly towards trench warfare and are not helpful to anyone. The best threads show me something, somebody else questions why that and not this, and the original poster gives a reason. From this process I take something away - and Peter posted exactly one of these the other day, Footski replied, Peter responded reasonably from his experience, so thank them both because I am the winner. I once bought a blue chinese esc :embarrassed: but I never used it because I listened to reason and experience - exactly what peter says above.
So let's just be adult and simply polite even when we disagree ......... no, especially when we disagree.
Do you think that was ok? or have I gone too far? I mean if you're offended I never meant it. Well I did but if I said that you'd harrass me and rubbish all my posts. Then I'd have to do the same, and my gang would even sink your Battleship with our Sub, and you could have got away if you had listened to me about prop size. Yada Yada Yada. ;D

Personally, I rather like shouting and name calling in political discussions. I don't do it myself, but when an opponent does it's a clear sign that you're winning an argument, and they know it... >>:-( >:-o :o
However, I also agree that if we're talking about something much more important, like the best way to seal deck timbers, keeping polite means that the maximum value is extracted from an exchange of views...

Somewhere between the cheese shop and the fish slapping, half way through the full half hour argument.

I don't know if you had something else in mind Colin but ............
A gas giant, close to its parent star, that orbits in a retrograde direction is known as a "Hot Jupiter,

So a whole star system spins one way with a Hot Jupiter spinning the other - :o
What an apt name for those with a determined contraryness :-))
