That really is a work of art. :o
I wouldn't want to get any water in that hull !
-
Nearly had me there. What we have here is the real thing. It's the overscale model kitchen that's the trick!!

Its all done with Photo shop, smoke and mirrors.

Gerald.

There's enough medication in the bags to keep it above the water :}
So the big question is ............................ HOW do you get it out of the kitchen?
I'm not into war ships in any way but this is a work of art
-
HI ALL thanks for the nice comments on her an it come apart into two halves to get her out of the kitchen ;) an for ease of transportation

I thought most carriers had their own kitchens!! They must have just dropped in for some take out!!
Excellent job ... not a warship fan at all, but that is gorgeous!!
Cheers

Change your anti virus Neil. My Norton which is a blasted nuisance for chucking out warnings does not flag this site at all.
-
I had Norton before this Vipre and it let 3 nasty virus's through when my kids were working on homework, Dicky
at lweast vipre won't let anything that it thinks dubious through.can live with that really.
neil.
-
You should have access tot he admin of the system and there you should be able to "allow from this site" and put it into the safe zone for filtering.
I use Kaspersky and have stayed away from Norton but I know some have been happy with what they use.
Modify....
Well you would expect to find some Wrens on a ship that size and scantily clad could be!
-
Wow, that is an awesome work. I wonder if he eats dinner off the flight deck? Having served aboard the USS Ranger CV-61 in 1968, I can attest that this is pretty realistic... sure brought back memories.

Dennis

CHEERS Richard :-)) for posting the new link to my nimitz build
an Sven
yes the carrier maybe small but in my opinion THE DETAIL is fanstastic an again in my opinion thats what modeling all about
chris

The Enterprise is quite remarkable (IMHO) - I have never before got such an impression of what a remarkable piece of engineering these big carriers are. And I am impressed by the interior lighting and weathering in inaccessible places. One has to be a truly determined bodger to carry in the the face of such brilliance.
-
I have been following this build from day one and when you see the sheer volume of electo-engineering that has gone into this model not to mention the superb level of fine detail then like me you will be more than impressed . His Nimitz is one of the most outstanding models I have come across and I believe Chris will be showing /demonstrating this magnificent Nimitz at various shows during the year.
Bowwave
:-)) :-)) :-))

while im not a big fan of flat tops, this is outstanding work...
now she just needs some 'protection' from an iowa class battleship ( or2 )
would love to see something like that floating around the local lake
just make sure them planes dont fall off
-
A very impressive model! Wouldnt like to be lifting that one in and out of the lake!
-
wow, thats all i can say, wow..........
