Title: FLAT IRON GUN BOAT

HI
 I started a flat iron gun boat before Christmas free plan MMI , hull ikea blind with styrene plating
    all deck parts and its a very busy boat theres loads of scratch to have a go at .
 building a LUGONGA PADDLE BOAT along side this build both a challenge

I like it Larry ............. but I have to say am more interested in your Lulonga.
Have you started that yet? If not please pm me when you post so I don't miss it.

How did you make the gun?

Have you used the Ikea before? What did you think of it? How thick is it? etc

HI DAVE,
          Thank you for interest, LUNGANGA is 50% built got to save up to bye paddles and motors and drive chain,
           as ikea blind the wood slates are 1"x1/8 a soft wood bit like obeachi easy to work .
           heres a few pics to look at ,     see wheel house and deck planks,.......LARRY...

     barrel      pen case balsa card breach carrage ikea timber and a lot of inventiveness love the scratch build challenge .
      not much monney to spend on over priced bits ......LARRY....

Hi Larry

Yes, the gun is good. What I like is the 'casting' has the right sort of surface look to it - saying it badly but I hope you know what I mean.
Re Ikea - I've just been the post office to collect my first ebay parcel of Ikea slats. A lot of wood and so little spent :-))

Keep posting up the Lulonga - I was looking at the boat quite a lot a while ago, so nice to see it being built.
