Anyone able to direct me to how to make the towing bits on Azia strong enough for actual towing.

Welcome to Mayhem. A lot of us have built Aziz  (I even have a second one still in it's box) and it's a very impressive ship.

Have a look around and a jolly good read. Towing hooks has been discussed many times, so you should be able to find out a lot if you use the search engine above, or better still,  the search engine on the front page.
