...Hi Ribblefox...

Is it a Mobile Marine ANGLIAN  MAN at 1/32 scalehull or a Model Slipway WYEFORCE hull at 1/24 scale...

I have seen it somewhere before...Who did you buy it from...

I have built several of these models as this is my favourite tug both in real life and model life...

...Best Regards...Norry...

...Hi Ribblefox...

Sorry...I didn,t notice the dimensions up there at the top...I was too busy admiring the tug...
I built a similar tug a few years ago and called it STANFORCE...It is now in Englandshire somewhere after spending some time in Wales...
This similar tug is also a Model Slipways WYEFORCE hull built at 1/24 scale...

Here is a picture of STANFORCE at Balne Moor M.B.C ...There are a few similarities...

...Best Regards & Happy Towing...Norry...

Oops, me too I didn't noticed the dimension you gave ...

Good idea Norry to built a Stantug on a Wyeforce hull, I prefer the Stantug superstructure !

I fell in love with this small tug when I seen this one at Warwick

(http://nsa21.casimages.com/img/2012/02/07/120207020052659953.jpg) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=120207020052659953.jpg)

A Wyeforce (also at Warwick)

 (http://nsa22.casimages.com/img/2012/02/07/120207021235969502.jpg) (http://www.casimages.com/img.php?i=120207021235969502.jpg)

The bow of Wyeforce, like your Tusker looks a little bit more rounded and Stantug more sharp. Her builder has had the same good idea like Norry to build a Stantug on the Wyeforce hull.  By this way she is bigger scale Stantug and more suitable for towing.

...Hi xtian29...

I firstly built the tug as WYEFORCE but found it to be a pain to tow with if there was any more than a slight breeze of wind due to the 2 storey Deckhouse/Wheelhouse...
I then built the Damen Stan Tug wheelhouse which dropped the Air Draft right down and helped tremendously with towing...
There are a few postings regarding her build on the forums...She was a very powerful tug...I first used her at Ellesmere Port and also at The Wirral and Balne Moor...
I sold her to a chap from Wales who then sold her to John Pollit (Poll)...He then sold her to another member of Balne Moor M.B.C...
On my last visit there i tried to buy her back but No Deal...I was offered another similar built tug which had a lot more detail than STANFORCE...
That one might have been the one that Ribblefox has now...
I am currently looking for a WYEFORCE hull for another project...

...Best Regards...Norry...
