She has an interesting history of her origin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Costa_Allegra) (as well as her sister COSTA MARINA).
She had a renaissance as cruise ship from conversion of the former 1969 built container vessel ANNIE JOHNSON in the early 1990s,
while her sister was converted from AXEL JOHNSON already a year earlier.
I think the COSTA ALLEGRA has mainly been marketed on the German cruise travel market.
