Found this pic, in my pile of pics, thought it may interest the Kriegs marine fans.

I do not think it is swedish, I have a photo of a similiar type of swedish vessel, but this one is flying the German Jack and the back of the photo says Kriegmarine, May 1937. What I was thinking is the embryo idea of the German pocket battleship. Have downloaded a pic of the Swedish vessel you may be thinking about.

Swedish vessel Nids Juds.
If I have spelt it wrong sorry, but the writing on the back of the photo is worse than a doctors prescription.

Just a post script, I myself have no real idea of the ships identity, only going on what is on the pic, but yes she could well be swedish, but she still reminds me of the Nazi boat, just thought it may be of interest to others.

She's from Finland

Thanks Dave,
I wondered what she was, she looks like a Popeye battleship to me, but she is interesting and unusual to look at. Looking in the background I can see a carrier like the Furious, so with the given date I did wonder if it was taken at the 1937 coronation review.

The carrier is either the Courageous or Glorious (Furious never had a superstructure like that). Could well be the 1937 Review.
