Hi I am looking at getting this kit but I don't no what motor would be best to run in this and other hardware if people can help I'd really appreciate it :)

Any radio with 2-channels or more. I'd go for a 2.4ghz set these days, they cost peanuts, and you don't have to worry about frequencies.
Motor wise, you have a wide choice. Years ago people used to fit them with monoperms, but a low revving direct drive 500 size motor or a geared 400 would be more than adequate for this type of model.
Other equipment choice is very subjective. For ESC's I like microgyros, but a other suitable makes include Action, mtroniks etc.
Plenty of room in the hull for big batteries. Any battery technology will work, lead acid, NiMH, Lipo etc.

I'd recommend ACTion esc's. Very good value.
Radio wise I tend to use a steer wheel transmitter which is great if you only want 2 or 3 channels.
Doesnt the manufacturer recommend a motor for the model? I'd say use a brushed motor for this as a brushless would be a bit OTT imo. Not sure of hull size, would probably recommend something like a 3.5amp 12v SLA if speed isnt a consideration. Nimh and lipos are quite expensive for comparative voltages.

Contact Dave @ ACTion, he will be a big help & sells the very best quality equipment. I have no connection except i am a very happy customer, when I started out in model boats I would probably have quit but for all the help I got from Dave, he is a no BS type of guy. Mick B.
