What is the prop rotation for a single prop.
I am about to order a prop for my 1/32 scale Throstlegarth.
I have decided on buying from prop shop, I have decided upon a 3 inch, but do not know which rotation or pitch to buy.
Can you help me? :-)

Generally ..Brushed electric motors are more effecient on a righthand(clockwise) rotation..You'll notice the polarity tabs on them..
With that in mind ..get yourself a right hand prop.

R/H props have the advantage of being "self tightening" when the boats running forward. Thread locking should handle the much shorter time it spends in reverse.

I agree totally about prop rotation & tightening the prop but then most tug towing tugs are twin engined with contra rotating props & lots of power. Loosing props does not seem to be a problem.
Unless you are looking at the more specialist racing type motors they don't really mind which way they run as they are zero degrees timed - but they do get used to running one way or the other because of how they wear in the brushes. Most simple - one gear on the motor & one on the propshaft - gearboxes effectively reverse the direction of rotation of the motor & they don't mind.

I accidentally bought a left hand screw for my Girl class, primarly because it was a quality prop going cheap in a model shop. The model runs fine, except when it is put a stern then it cuts to starboard instead of port like the real ones did.
