Title: turnigy plush esc 30a
Post by: Mad_Mike on April 17, 2012, 11:15:59 pm
does anyone know if this esc will start up with the throttle positioned centrally.

Ive used the 30 amp brushed ones and then needed the thottle to be at the lowest point before they would arm, and it meant taking the return spring out of my tx

Yes, but you might need to
1. set your ATV to 0 on the down stroke, and
2. move the stick back to 'arm' the esc.

The esc should then recognise 'center stick' =0% and 'full stick' = 100%

If you can set a throttle curve it's even easier :-))

Adjustable Travel Volume, the ratio, (by percentage), that stick movement transfers into servo movement.

Hi. The answer to your query is YES.

1) Switch on your TX, then move the throttle stick to full (top position in other words)

2) Now connect your motor battery and power up your ESC, you will hear two or three short beeps, (this is the ESC confirming you have set full throttle)

3) Now move the throttle stick on your TX down to the middle or neutral position (esc will beep again followed by a number of beeps indicating the number of cells (li-po) you have connected , and thats it. Works well with a Planet 5 TX & RX,

Hope it works with your set-up..
