Title: Can you laquer over primer?
Post by: blackice on April 19, 2012, 08:46:44 pm
I'm currently laying down some halfords acrylic white primer on my ply hull and seeing as I want the final colour to be white I was wondering if it's okay to clear over straight onto the primer once knocked back with wet and dry?

My plan is to leave the deck o'naturale and add some pencil lines to replicate planking before clearing the lot.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Dave. Will I need to get the top primer layer super smooth before clearing?

800 Wet dry should be ok but DO NOT do it WET but DRY,reason for this is simple Primer is porus and will absorb the water
