Title: Relay switch

Hi Boys. I'm here with another electronics question. I purchased a Omron 10A/16A electronic relay switch to switch my cooling pump on & off but the instructions are not very clear, Anyone out there had any experience with these switches,It has three terminals.i have added a couple of pictures hope it might help

I should imagine that one terminal is connected to another and switches to connect to the other when energised.

I would think it is +ve feed from battery, Common ground (-ve) and +ve switched power to device

Never seen one before so just taking a wild stab in the dark, so dont ask me which is which lol

It could be power feed to centre, and a normally open and normally closed terminal on either side.
A multimeter will tell you all you need to know.

From the diagram, the normally open (n/o) contact of the switch is connected to the positive side of the power supply, the normally closed (n/c) contact is connected to the circuit, but has no power supply.   The centre common (c) contact moves to n/o when the relay is activated by the receiver output, and supplies power to the circuit through the load.   Pete

What they said - I would just add that if following that diagram, the fuse really needs to be in the battery +ve supply so that the rest of  the model is protected.  Where it is, the only thing being protected is the relay contact, and that against the possibility of a shorted lamp.

Thanks for the advice Boys, I took the switch into the local auto electrician this morning & he told me the same as Pete, Spot on mate thanks. I try & get it fitted tomorrow & let you know how I go.

Hi Boys. I fitted my Omron relay switch today, worked like a charm, I will try it out on the water when the weather get's a bit warmer.
