hi looking to make it a bit more stable have flipped it 3 times now and fancy making it a bit faster, any tips

The OW2 is a small speedboat which is rather quick on 2S, flipping a boat this size is no problem, as you've experienced.
Avoiding flips altogether is next to impossible, but you can do a few things that will help:
- make the rudderthrow smaller, this boat should run fine with 25-30° to both sides, more will induce a flip at high speed.
- practice with your boat, I know of no boater that was perfect in controlling a fast electric at speed from day one, it often takes me a few weeks to get to grips with the running attitude of a new model.
Unless you can keep the boat upright in most runs on 2S, I wouldn't advice stepping up to 3S.
I've set-up an OW2 for a friend and even with all my experience as a (RC) raceboat driver, the boat was close to undrivable and every pass ended in a flip, if full throttle was kept on.
Turning at full speed was impossible.
Make sure to tape the hatch, the boat leaks enough as it is...
If you want to go faster, get a bigger boat that can handle more power.

Hi Ashcossie, due to lack of punctuation this sentence can be interpreted in two ways:
1) It handles fine at full speed on 3s, tends to flip at low speeds.
Or:
2) It handles fine at full speed, on 3s tends to flip at low speeds.
What exactly are you saying?

it tends to hop and skip across water at full speed on 3s sure im losing speed due to it been out the water more than in, and having a problem of it flipping upsidedown on its own wakes at low speed

how much uprated is that over the standard motor and i thought a 30 amp speed controller would be too small

Hi Ash,
Some pictures of the boats interior (set-up and weight distribution) and knowing what it runs on in terms of prop and lipo would be nice to know/see.
I have set-up an OW2 for a friend and it was virtually undrivable on 3S using the stock prop; once it got up to speed, there's not enough hull in the water to keep it upright.
Propwalk takes over and the boat flips violently on a straight run on flat(ish) water.
After a few passes the water gets a bit choppy and the boat is uncontrollable over half throttle...
This small hull is rather overpowered to run properly.
On 2S you'll have more fun (and a better controllable boat)...
Next to that, running small boats takes more skill (and practice) than a larger one, but over powered stays overpowered.

thats physically too large. what are you trying to do get the speed up?

just a bit quicker than out of box if u no what i mean, i use it a very large call boating lake and its never had a problem of flipping at top speed so just want to uprate it a bit, what size dimention motor is the max i will fit in
