Title: workbench ideas
Post by: Shannon S. on April 25, 2012, 12:50:40 am
I don't know if this topic has been discussed before. I thought showing our work areas, we could share idea's. I went from a 24"x 36"table in a closet to a 36"x81"in my shed. I used an interior door for the table I bought at The Home Depot. It"s still a work in progress.

Better not show my work area for fear of ridicule from fellow members.............has even been likened to an Egyptian tomb by one member, who shall remain nameless {-) {-) {-) {-) {-) {-) {-)

Oh that I should have a shed that I might call my own.

Imagine a drop leaf table in the corner of the lounge with a boat and a cutting mat on it......... :embarrassed:

Actually, I am one-up on that. I occupy the whole dining table.  {-)

With the fear of never being spoken to again by members on here, I am very lucky that I have a large workshop, out of the way of SWMBO.
Designed primarily for woodworking the bench is 9 metres long and 600mm wide the first 1.5 metres is clad in steel reinforced vynil flooring for doing metal work, the rest is beech block . A dewalt radial arm saw and router are built into the bench  it has two woodworking and one metalworking vice. Tool cabinet on the wall etc. The thing is sometimes it gets so messy I can't move. I have nothing but admiration for you guys who do such brilliant work with limited space well done to you all. Thinking aloud is there any females out there modelling boats?

You really need a man cave Rob, swmbo wont put up with that for ever!

Dave, careful man, you will get visitors to make use of all that workspace!

What I need Ian, is to pull out the proverbial finger and put power and lights into our extensive cellars!  :embarrassed:
I'm just too busy doing important modelling though!  {-)
