 It never ceases to amaze me as to why these truly beautiful creatures do this on occasions.It has been blamed on so many different things...sonar being one of them.These were the lucky ones,and indeed shows that man does indeed help nature.We had a mass stranding here in Cornwall a few years ago,and the outcome was the loss of all of them,as no humans were near to make a rescue attempt. It is so sad to come upon a dead dolphin,and there have been many with their fins and tales cut off,probably by fisherman,who found them trapped in their nets,and thus leaving them to a horrendous death.
