Wasn't there an article in one of the Modelling mags recently, I remember the superstructure being  made from resin.

Hi Richard
It was in Feb 2006 MB, eight pages long and a very good article by Paul Freshney. I'll scan it if you like, pm me your e-mail address.
My own observation is that GT models are very good, but not an exact replica of the boats they portray. The MTB for example has too bluff a bow. This is not a criticism as I believe GT models admit this themselves, they produce pleasant models which are nice to build but perhaps leave the more "xxxxx" among us Coastal Forces enthusiasts left wanting (I would apply this to Deans Marine CF kits also). Having said that, the GT MTB fittings all look superb in the photos. For greater accuracy I'd recommend HSL Mouldings products at 1/24th scale.
Regards, Christian.
