Could anyone recommend a varnish suitable for car aerosol painted hulls to give a matt or satin finish - I have a bad habit of going to B&Q or similar, picking up a tin of varnish not being able to read the tin because I've forgotten my glasses and then getting it home and finding its unsuitable for painted surfaces !
Cheers rats

Satin is supposed to have a bit of a shine
Gloss has a lot of shine.
Matt has no shine.

This might sound like a silly question but, when the varnish time comes around, Do you just stand back with the gun and spray everything at once, or, is masking involved ?
Anyone got any pictures of the event ?

On my boats Ken I masked windows and portholes and varnished the entire exterior.

Got to be a case of you only varnish whats needed I would of thought .
Anything outside of this criteria is obviously masked .
sorry if I have this wrong ::)

Thanks to everyone. I'll not varnish the windows then !!
Isn't it exiting when you get to this stage. Knowing most of the work is done and you have something to show for it ;D
