If you could pick any boat in the world what would you go for, mine would have to be a tall ship, love them or would settle for schooner America (after which the Americas cup was named) lovelly looking boat in the process of building a model :-)

I am gradually working my way through my wish list. See 'signature' line below.
One day I'd like to scratch build an HMS Abercrombie, WW2 Monitor.
More like a floating barge with anti-torpedo bulges and a huge 15 inch gun turret.

as predictably me....mine would be this......restored to full beautiful working and sound order............I don't need say any more...............
except that there are a group of people working at this very moment to actually rescue her for a full restoration..........that would be a lifetime achievement for me just to have a sail on her....boy, oh boy, would that be fantastic.

Well if we are only talking real boats then that's really easy
I would just like a boat suitably equipped for a few days fishing in areas like the Everglades or river estuaries.
Nothing grand or overly expensive - just one of those little wishes we all have for the small lottery win.
I'm not even a good angler - the fish are probably at their safest when I have a hook in the water {-)
Oh, and I would like to catch a really big UK Perch too - a little one was my first ever catch :-)

I have simple tastes, I would want to park it in the middle of an expensive marina however. just to, you know, lower the tone a bit :}

I would love to have any "Aquastar" Boat, converted to an angling boat. BUT I would have to have the mooring and running costs to go with it.I have not been without a boat for the last 30 years,but had to sell my Cygnus 19 foot angling boat last year, because the Falmouth Harbour Commissioners increased their fees above inflation yet again.They seem dead set on pricing the small boat owner out of the way,to make room for the posh yacht owners to take over.Take for instance cranage charges,payable twice yearly,one lift out and one lift in.Before Harbour Master £35 per lift.Harbour Master takes over (elf N safety) £85 + VAT per lift ! Just around £1000.00 in fees BEFORE any use!
now I devote my time to my model Lifeboats,displaying them to raise funds for the R.N.L.I. I still miss my fishing though!
