Title: HMS Victory - Del Prado 1:98(?) update 3
Post by: John Leah on June 20, 2012, 08:45:50 am
Hi fellow shipwrights

In reverse order, here are some updatde pictures of my delprado HMS Victory which seems to be taking a real age to get further on with - its so fiddly and I am way out of my depth as this is a first for me at wooden shipbuilding. I am hoping she will look better once I get the metal decorative plates added to the stern/officers quarters window area.

please enjoy - WoW the riggings fast approaching... :-X

It's looking real good.

However, you may have found it easier  to have installed the top row of guns before putting on the top deck.
They are very fiddly to do with the deck in position especially if you want to rig the exposed ones in the centre of the ship.

Good luck, building a ship of this period is a long, patient, job.

I'm in the middle of building a Jotika kit of HMS Victory, the ratlines are never ending!!!!!!
