On 'SYFY' at the moment called 'Nazi's at the centre of the Earth'. It's 1 of those films that you think couldn't get any worse and then before you know it plunges into new depths of awfulness!

Yea, that sort of thing, but worse. I missed the start (thankfully, wouldn't want to have wasted too much of my life watching it) but form where I saw, the 'nazis' were in antarctica, and had been abducting people (not entirely sure who, not very well populated in antarctica is it) and harvesting them for organs and skin, to keep their old nazi soldiers alive. Then they use a vacuum to suck an unborn child out of a woman and use the cells to bring 'life' to a robot Hitler. Yes, you read that right, it's a robot, with Hitlers head in a big glass pod on the top. Then they end up on what can only be describes as a Nazi, UFO. And at the end some of the captured people escape in an escape pod that looks exactly the same as the old V1 rockets.
It's not just the story line thats bad though, the effects are awful, similar to something you'd see on a channel5 production (ha as if channel5 make anything of their own), the acting is also truly atrocious, so bad in fact, at times it had me wondering if it was a comedy.
There were more reasons it was so bad, but I really can't be bothered to go into them now, too tired...

Try:-
Unman, Wittering, & Zigo - if you can find it, and the well known Actors and Actresses in it... David Hemmings and, well, another Actress. I was also as a prominent Extra. It was filmed at the school I was at. All good fun, learnt a lot from it back in 1970 or some such past!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Always remembered the loads great Tomato soup and sandwiches from the Moblie Canteen during the hours of filming!!!!!! - mind you the couple of hundred of also thought the same but they couldn't deny us!!!!!!!!!!! Must have cost them an absolute fortune in feed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Regards, Bernard
-
After looking, I m being very unfair to Gayle Hunnicut. I met both, during filming, have the Sigs. of both - somewhere. David Hemmings is sadly no longer of course, but he was a good actor... and a decent person. Gayle, well, if I had been older at the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! B.

Battlefield Earth, with John Revolta,..oops Travolta,is another all time turkey,...I used to like Ron L Hubbard scifi books but this film with Travolta and his dreadlocks and his size 25 boots,

As a fan of two of the above 'worst EVER' movies above. no names......I give you Zardoz.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zardoz
What on earth were John Boorman and Sean Connery thinking?
-
Anything with Billy Breen in it.
-
Any of Audie Murphy's cowboy films I say
The guy made 44 films but probably had even more war medals.
Billy Breen? Is that Larry Grayson LB?
Dave
-
Talking about worst films ever....why have Love Story ( with ryan o neal and Ali McGraw) and Soldier Blue NEVER been shown on Terestial TV programnes........now those two are No Brainers for worst films ever.
neil.
-
I've tried to watch the film 300 a few times and given up its pure trash.
-
Though 'Attack of the Killer Tomatoes' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_of_the_Killer_Tomatoes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_of_the_Killer_Tomatoes) was pretty bad, I always thought the worst movie was voted as 'Plan 9 from Outer Space' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plan_9_from_Outer_Space (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plan_9_from_Outer_Space) .
This was the last film Bella Lugosi was in. He actually died before they started filming - but this didn't stop them starring him....

Dave,
it should be Bobby Breen: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Breen
I used to cringe whenever one of his films was shown at the Wallasey Gaumont on a Saturday morning, sentimental doo doo.

Nice to see Steven Segal getting his comeuppance tho :D
Worst film or more most disappointing I have to say is a clockwork orange

Dirty Dancing!! Supposedly a 'feel good uplifting chick movie' beloved by women everywhere. Yet consider the script.............failed 30+ something dacer grooms a 16yo girl, introduces her to drugs, sex, all night parties, illegal abortions, gets her to blackmail her father firstly for money then to carry out remedial surgery after a failed abortion and at the end he snatches her from her family.................now thats feelgood for you.

Iron Sky is almost a parody of itself. It knows it's not a great film so just enjoy the ride ... and bad jokes! 6 out of 10.

Looks like Iron Sky is a bit of Marmite movie.... you either love it or hate it
-
Saw 'Iron Sky' in the local sainsburys a few weeks ago for £5. My GF was shocked, as only a couple of days earlier 1 of the kids she teaches was talking about it, and everyone was laughing at him saying that a storyline like that couldn't possibly exist lol
-
I shall watch it over the weekend and report back lol

Soldier Blue, was released in 1970 and it drew parallels with the 1968 Mi Lai Massacre, in Vietnam,I,m sure at that time they wanted to make a film about the Mi Lai massacre, but strong American opinion of revulsion, regarding the slaughter of hundreds of civilians in Vietnam, meant that the film makers had to shelve the idea, so they made Soldier Blue instead, which highlighted the slaughter of men, women, and children of the Lakota Sioux at Wounded Knee in South Dakota,,

The massacre was infact at Sand creek, Interesting fact BSM worked on Sesame street for years.
you,re up the creek with Sand creek, that took place in 1864,and it was Cheyanne that were massacred here, by Colorado militia, led by Chivington,..Wounded Knee,on the other hand took place at Wounded Knee Creek, in 1890, O0
-
I always thought you were a cowboy Wullie
Now I wonder if you're Running Bull %)
....... It's the way I tell em'
Dave
-
Running Bull???...are you sure you did,nt mean Sitting Bull,...or maybe Running Bear {-)..or as some might say...a load of bull,
-
Oh no - Running Bull suits you, and certainly no one wants to think of you as running bear :o

Reference to MOVIE:
"
In order to recreate the gory Sand Creek massacre of Cheyenne Indians, director Ralph Nelson sought the services of orphaned amputees. Various prosthetic limbs were affixed to missing body parts of these amputees, and then, in one of the most blood-and-guts sequences in film history, these "limbs" were mercilessly hacked off as the cameras rolled"
-
between Sand Creek and Wounded Knee approximately 32 Congressional Medals of Honour were awarded and when you consider that is their equivalent
to the VC it does not say much for their medal system.- More C M of Honour awarded at Wounded Knee than any other American action before or since.
That is another clue that there has been a coverup - so many medals for what was a "policing action" and unjustified at that

And of course not forgetting that piece of fantasy Braveheart. Total drivel. And that blatan piece of plagarism called Avatar.

The issue in question, was, you said, the massacre at Wounded Knee,.."infact it was Sand Creek"....wrong, O0,i indicated that the film was,in responce to Mi Lai,and i still hold this belief,...now where was I,
more bad films,......er let me think.....oh, here,s one,"better than both Matrix sequels put together,a truly stunning sci fi masterclass"
"Casshern"...oops wrong place,.....should have put it as quote,....to infact sand creek....ah never mind,..it,ll get there in the end,
-
And of course not forgetting that piece of fantasy Braveheart. Total drivel. And that blatan piece of plagarism called Avatar.
There was some Truth in Braveheart,....the Scots did defeat "Proud Edwards army"..at Bannockburn,.in 1314,..or maybe that was fiction also,.and Wallace was hung, drawn, and quarter, ...as for Avatar,.....Brilliant,..., ..a Trip without taking a pill,....how cool is that, {-) {-) {-)

don't know about the worst film, but the most boring film I ever saw was that long drawn out film about Kevin Costner getting it on with wolves...can't remeber the name but gawd it was boring......the misses had to keep nudging me I was snoring so loud during it..............even worse on TV as it's interspersed with adverts, lol....making it more unbearable than ever.

...a Ryuhei Kitamura film,.....Versus, %% %% %%

Kevin and the wolves, well... it was actually a coyote, but the point of the film was the injustice being meted out to the native Americans by the foreign invaders
-
Recently the George Clooney film "The American". The soundtrack was so low that we could hear next door's cinema sound and I had to follow the plot from occasional sub titles, from Spanish.
I complained but the Vue cinema rep said they had been told to set the sound low!
I have to add it was not me that wanted to see G.C.

coyote, wolf, dog, dingo.....they're all the same..bite yer hand off if they've a mind to....the point that the title is Dances with Wolves rather than Dances with Coyote's gives me a reasonable excuse for calling the 4 legged critters wolves in my mind %% %% %% %%
only the pedantic will argue with that, and who cares really {-) {-) {-) {-)

Neil - I heard some talk of reintroducing Wolves into the wild (not in Fleetwood calm down) - they have just done it with Wild Boar. Someone will get hurt O0
Wullie - is it the 'Ultimate' Versus you have?

LOL we have them in the garden.... bears too!

Wullie I thought you said this:
"so they made Soldier Blue instead, which highlighted the slaughter of men, women, and children of the Lakota Sioux at Wounded Knee in South Dakota,,
So much of the history of the native Americians is shameful so I think it is important to get the facts right.

Try reading the brilliant Tad WIlliams Otherworld Series of Books which the story is set on Earth near the end of the 21st century, in a world in which technology has advanced somewhat beyond the present. The most notable advancement is the widespread availability of full-immersion virtual reality installations, which allow people from all walks of life to access an online world. Then weave in a simple old story called Pocahontas - Eureka you have Pocahontas but you just rename it, claim it to be an original genius work of art and you have Avatar. Not one strand of originality in there at all.
