Title: Portgarth
Post by: DaveB on April 21, 2007, 09:57:35 pm
I built Portgarth several years ago from Mobile Marine Models  for the first time i used MFA geared motors plenty of power but quite noisey, she took about 2 years to build, at the time i had'nt got a workshop and did all the work in the bedroom away from the kids. Had good service from Brian and Anne at Mobile marine, i deviated from the plans and included some monitors with the pump coming from Halfords all the painting was done by hand with a maximum 1/4 inch brush for the hull. I have'nt got any pictures of her at night which is a shame as she loooks impressive.

Hi Dave

Really looks great, a true work of art. I also like what you have cooking for the crews dinner, Roast seagull ;D ;D.

You can brush paint a hull for me anytime. Very nice work indeed!

Hi
Although you can't see in the photo's those bloody seagulls have left their mark on the decks i aught to have a ships cat stalking the buggers. Dave
