While away for the weekend me and the family went to find some boats and found M T Kent had a guided tour around her and here are some pics

She's a fantastic looking boat we really injoyed looking around hope to go again now to find some plans lol

She does look superb, much better than when Dad and I were driving her around Newhaven when she was standing in as relief tug in the late 60's/early 70's. I have to say that I think I preferred Kite over Kent, though.

Cool so someone who's worked on her  :-)) does anybody know if there's a plan or even a working drawing for her ?

The last time the Kent was used for commercial work was in 1986 and that was for the London side of the company J P Knight (LONDON) Ltd, then they bought the ex Girl classn tug Agnes from Portland ,and the Kent became surplus Again, and I took her to the moorings in Rochester after which she was laid up and eventually --Thankfully became the baby of the South eastern Tug society,  There use to be a set of drawings for her in the Rochester office bur they were as built with the tall lowering funnel,and mast,    full deck casing ,  and a lifeboat, it may be that they still exist in the archives of J P knight somewhere I built a model of her 30 years ago and it is still going strong even now.

i also worked in the kent for a short time at felixtowe she was in gazalee colours at that time i recall the night that the wheelhouse windows blew in on the way round to lowerstoft

Ah yes I remember that day Mr Davis. Thanks for the photo oppotunity,More I seem to look more georgeous then than I do now. More hair ten than now me thinks! %)
