Title: blue-green algae

It was reported yesterday,in the Dundee Evening Telegraph,that the boating pond at Stobsmuir,...DMBC,s local pond, that it has been,declared off limits to all visitors,due to high levels of potentially harmful blue-green algae,and is out of bounds to all,until the all clear is given,

There are some things that can be done to try and reduce the problem, if not eliminate it. Check out this thread (http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=12231.0) and contact the council.
Glennb2006 (http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=917) also had the problem so it may be worth a PM to him to see if they found a solution.

The odd thing is, there are 2 ponds,approx 10m apart,the top pond,which has an island where all the burdies nest and frequent,is algae free,...the lower pond that is used by DMBC,is the one that has the algae,
