I'm trying to locate a plan - two sheets I believe - of the above vessel which was featured in a J. Pottinger article published in Marine Modelling International. August 2001.
Postage would willingly be reimbursed to any kind soul who is able to assist either with the original mag and plan (if no longer required) plus photo copying costs in addition, in the event that a copy only can be provided.
Thanks in anticipation of a positive response.

these plans regularly appear on e bay. the boat itself, once owned by Sir Malcolm Campbell, is moored on the river Thames, and took part in the recent jubilee festival as one of the Dunkirk Little Ships.

There is some confusion here. There were three Bluebird yachts. Blluebird II of 1938 was not a steam yacht but had diesel engines. I believe this was the subject of James Pottinger's plan for Traplet. The boat Rotweiler is referring to is the much smaller motor yacht Bluebird of Chelsea which David Metcalf featured in Model Boats back in 1991 and which is featured in the MyHobbyStore plans range together with a hull.
Sir Malcolm Campbell called everything Bluebird!

I am indeed referring to "Bluebird of Chelsea" I only wish my pal would give me permission to show his build of her, which argueably is possibly the best one could achieve.Even the present owner of the real thing congratulated him on the quality.
-
Yes, but Popeye is looking for the plans of Bluebird II not Bluebird of Chelsea!

Hi John, now This one was at Falmouth for a good number of years, and I hardly took any notice of it,until it dissappeared, even though I saw it at least twice a week! I seem to remember she was owned by Bob Harvey-George or a name similar. She was in fairly good condition as I remember.

hi,
acording to marine modelling august 2001 she was lying at rotterdam for sale at 1.4million dollers %% at age sixty after being used in 2nd world war.
after being requisitioned by admiralty.
there was a polished plauqe inscribed (DUNKIRK 1940) to confirm she took part in operation dynamo during evacuation of dunkirk

Unquote
The former is the subject to which I was, referring, though I'll look at the latter as an alternative to the big 'un
