Title: Mcrogyro ESC setup?
Post by: Martin (Admin) on August 10, 2012, 10:16:24 pm

Evening All!!

I just changed my speed controller in my Club500 sports race boat and fitted a 25A Microgyros unit.

                        http://microgyros.com/speed-control-setup.html (http://microgyros.com/speed-control-setup.html)

Solder up, switch on and away it went.

..... one question, how do you setup "Throttle Response"? And how is the setup different for "Deadband"?

PS. Microgyros don't make this unit any more, a new one is coming out.

The deadband is the amount of stick movement you have at neutral before anything happens. As standard they are right for most operations, but you can increase or decrease the deaband if you choose.

Throttle response enables you to reduce the full throttle, again you don't want to mess with this, as standard it's set to 100%, so leave it alone.

The other setting is brake response- pretty irrelevant on a boat, this is for the car boys, ignore it (default is set to 0.5 second).

So in a nutshell, plug and play.
