Title: Turning a Man into a Woman
Post by: Tug-Kenny RIP on August 18, 2012, 10:54:58 am

I have two scale men at 5 inches tall and I am trying to convert one into a woman.

Easy,  I thought,  but nor so.  I've added the extra fat but she still looks a bit Butch.

Any ideas what I need to do to the face (or any other part ) please.

Remove half of brain, cut off inappropriate appendages and widen mouth six inches..................or was that woman > man? (Life's so confusing at sixty.)
DM

Kenny - Looks like Rick (Status Quo) Parfitt with comedy  breasts. Why not just paint the trainers pink and give him/her/it a handbag?

On a practical note Ken
A lady with that shape of face shouldn't have a fringe - you need to soften the lines .....
Now that's as far as I'm going before my masculinity gets challenged.
(though I did once work in a hairdressers boys  O0 )

This is turning out to be quite a challenge. I knew she looked wrong but needed help.

Today I filed away her waistline and found out she's hollow !!!  I've now filled the inside space with P38 and will be sanding the curves better when it sets. My Missis can't stop laughing either and suggest I don't spend too long filing and sanding her.  (jealous maybe ?)

Some thoughts.

Assuming the model is solid plastic.
Take a scalpel and use it to shave away the brow ridges.
Also the back of the jaw and the chin so that the face becomes thinner and pointier, the jaw is weak and chinless.

the jaw is weak.

Hi Dave

My picture crossed in the ether.

Should read - 'so that the jaw is weak and chinless'

Plastic Surgery is the answer Ken {-)

I'll explain the hairdressing bit- 15-16 I had a Saturday job, then a summer job, followed by an offer of full training in a high class gent's hairdressing salon.
The prices were truly exhorbitant and you could probably go to a Barbers all year for the cost of a single visit.
All the chaps there were gay and were some of the nicest people I have ever met - but hairdressing wasn't for me so eventually I left.

Looking back - I think those guys were really brave, as Liverpool in the early seventies was a harsh place to be Gay.

Hi Tiger,

I think the face might be solid so your idea looks the way to go. I can't wait to get back on her tomorrow.

i prefer a weak jaw as well. She is a bit 'Butch' don't you think. ?    All great ideas. Keep em coming.   :-))

You could certainly reduce the neck to shoulder slope a bit - that's quite masculine
Title: Re: Turning a Man into a Woman
Post by: Tug-Kenny RIP on August 18, 2012, 09:05:54 pm

It's a bit solid in shoulder as there is the arm pivot mechanism, but I will see if a gentle taper is possible to round them off a bit.

All this stuff really helps guys. It gets the old grey cells moving.   :D

Title: Re: Turning a Man into a Woman
Post by: tigertiger on August 18, 2012, 09:19:28 pm
Yes you could thin the neck a lot, but this will be more hollowing out to leave the hair in place; although the hair could be re done.

You can also exaggerate the breasts. A large woman can often have very large cup size. I am not being crude here, but if you remember Les Dawson's housewife you get the gist.
This then make the woman potentially older.
Think fish wife

A male torso is basically triangular (with an added hemisphere at the front if you like beer!). The legs are set quite close together.

A woman's torso is hourglass. In particular, women have MUCH wider hips than men, for obvious reasons. They can easily and comfortably sit cross-legged at the knee. To emulate this you may need to separate the legs from the body and re-attach them with some spacers. In particular, they NEVER sit splay-legged in the masculine pose your model has at the moment...

Hmph,  the neck is large at the base isn't it ?

It's amazing the subtleties that we get in observation that give us certain impressions. Les Dawson seems to have captured the image very well.  I think I might need some more filler for the gaps that are going to appear.  Can't wait to continue with the sandpaper.

Maybe she can sit on this guys knee.     {-) {-)    (I'm not very good at modelling)

Well, I've been all day on my woman construction.  1st, I broke her hips and ground down the leg ends to close up the gap and her front fell off !!  The Milliput was over a year old and had not set properly.

I used 2 part epoxy to join the legs back on and taped them in place and went off to cut the lawns.  Two hours later I had a look and it hadn't set.   >>:-(      What a day. I then had a go at sanding the face with various Dremel tools and think I may have overdone it.

I then made some new mix and screwed the legs into the body and hope that it sets overnight.  Here we are the present time with Wendoline.  (good name Big Ada)

No but Kenny should have made sure she had 12 months counselling and made her dress and live like a woman for 12 months before attempting any final no turning back gender reassignment surgery.

The hips look a lot better. You could even increase them, though narrowing the waist would have the same effect...

I'll bet a lot of women wish that they could take a Dremel to their face and smooth everything down...

You may find this scale checklist of value? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_body_shape (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_body_shape)

This may help as well... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_shape (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_shape)

Note that hips are very prominent - as wide as, or wider than, shoulders. And legs, which are hinged wide apart, tend to come together slightly and taper as they go down. In contrast, a man's legs tend to have a more 'apart' stance...

You need to emulate someone like Edward Onslow Ford - http://www.victorianweb.org/sculpture/ford/2.html (http://www.victorianweb.org/sculpture/ford/2.html) Note how the legs tend to taper downwards...

Whatever you do, avoid the approach taken by Moore - http://www.tate.org.uk/art/artworks/moore-woman-t02280 (http://www.tate.org.uk/art/artworks/moore-woman-t02280)

If Leonardo and Michelangelo could do it, so can you.... :-)) :-))

The body from the waist down looks much more feminine now - you've got that characteristic tight curve outwards to the buttocks.

If you can slim the arms down a bit that would help - women don't go for biceps and triceps very much. And the nose could be made smaller, slimmer and cuter! Some of those face-shape images should help....
