Title: Side trawler Rigging
Post by: Angus64 on August 27, 2012, 10:50:55 am
Hi Boys. I am back with another Question, I am wondering If anyone out there can help me with a diagram of the rigging on a modern side trawler, They all seem to to be rigged a bit different. I found a site on the internet on, (Turbo Squid) (trawler trawling 3d model - Fishing Boat - 01 by 3Dships ) It is of a model trawler, but it's hard to fowler the lines as there is a lot of them, If they were different colours It would be easy to do. any Advice will be appreciated.

He is a member here and also admin on www.trawlerphotos.co.uk , Sorry7 I couldnt help you myself but sidewinders were finished by the time I started fishing and the time of the stern trawler was well on the go, there are also plenty of pictures on trawlerphotos go to http://www.trawlerphotos.co.uk/gallery/index.php?cat=1040 this will take up option of two classes of John Lewis build sidewinders might see what you need in there also search for David John in the gallery search option at the side not the search option near the top ,That was Davies fathers vessel and think there should be deck photos

Did you find what you needed? There is a side winder called Arctic Corsair (i I think ) as a museum here in Hull. It was built locally in 1960. If you google Arctic Corsair you'll see it. If there are any details you need, I may be able to get down there.
