hi all, new to the forum, can someone help?? I would like to know what steam generators do you guys use or reccomend.
Many thanks Gaz

Steam generators Gaz?, Or smoke generators? A steam generator is a boiler and I don't beleive anyone makes one that will fit in a 1/96th type 12.
Let us know for sure what you mean exactly.

hi gaz and welcome to the forum. i presume you mean a smoke generator unit some of the guys here use a jjc 'old smokey unit. there are others on the market but i personally make my own from a length of old hairdryer heater element, 12 volt battery and a small fan from an old computer and the fluid i use is disco fog fluid available from maplins.

Hi Gaz, there are some small ones on the market which would fit in the funnel of your type 12, I think Graupner amongst others make one, failing that there is always Hornby railways ones.
