Post by: TomP on September 20, 2012, 08:52:40 pm
What's a 32nd type 7 unstarted kit worth? no dive equipment just hull, fittings, deck and running gear. Cheers Tom

 Hi tom.
if you compare this with what you have you may get a rough idea.

Depends greatly on condition. If a new unstarted hull, somewhere between £250-350. The OTW boat has a much more detaield hull, plus cast props, frames, etched deck etc. I recall a while back someone trying to sell an OTW kit for £150, and he had problems shifting it. Think it was minus a deck, but all the same, still a bargain

Hi Frank, thank you I know that the OTW one is the one to have. I have seen this 32nd p for sale currently at £11 but they won't post so it's a long drive. Will wait and see if it goes over a certain amount won't bother. Cheers Tom

Hi there Tomp. Where about's is this type 7c then? If it's down at my neck of the woods, I will go and have a look for you. Let me know.
Cheers

I paid £300 about for a 32 parallel 7 from a clubmate, got hull deck, tower, fittings, all i did not get was the planes rudders etc, but have just purchased them form spooksgone on here.

Agreed the OTW is the better boat, but then at over £1500 they shoudl be!
But with some litholplate and time, my 32nd parallel could a will look good - i hope!

£1500 with the dive module. The standard kit minus module is £775. Not really an even playing field comparing secondhand prices with a new hull. What was the price of a new 32nd parallel kit when purchased? I expect it was inline with if not more than what you would pay for an OTW hull today.
